NSF clothing, a Californian dream

I discovered NSF clothing a couple of years ago. I saw a pair of their beautiful jeans on sale. I slept over it before deciding to buy them. Actually it was not a smart idea, as the following day my size was gone.

Los Angeles native Nick Friedberg is the founder of NSF. After gaining production and technical knowledge working with James Perse, Nick launched NSF in 2005.

Believing that jeans represented the Californian free spirit and soul, NSF introduced its denim line in 2011. Made and hand-washed in L.A., NSF jeans are known for their slouchy tomboy fits, authentic washes and classic yet sexy styling.

I love these SS15 NSF indigo cotton denim jeans detailed throughout with white paint splatter.

“Our approach to denim has been to design what we love without worrying about whether or not it was going to be accepted.” Says Jamie Haller, NSF Creative Director and Designer. “Our denim is classic, straightforward, with a little dirt and a slouchy straight tomboy fit. Every pair of jeans is made in Los Angeles, with innovative hand executed washes and unparalleled quality craftsmanship.”

In addition to its premium denim range, the collection contains soft and cozy sweaters, trousers and t-shirts.

The NSF woman is probably also borrowing clothes from her boyfriend or husband. The collection is not quite unisex, but very neutral.
