Epperson Mountaineering

Mark Epperson, an avid outdoors man couldn’t find any acceptable mountaineering packs anywhere. He began to make his own in Montana. He ended up creating Epperson Mountaineering in 1973.

Now, Epperson Mountaineering is, together with Monitaly, Chamula and Yuketen, a trade mark of Meg Company.

Epperson Mountaineering uses only ultra-durable high quality materials, artisanal craftsmanship and innovative design. All products are still made one by one in Montana by skilled artisanal pack makers.

A friend of mine bought an Epperson Mountaineering climb pack for his boyfriend. It is absolutely awesome: 1000 denier Cordura fabric, YKK zippers, mil-spec tubular webbing, padded bottom and an extremely functional yet comfortable design.

Epperson makes also stylish and durable day pack and totes. I love this day pack with one-of-a-kind authentic vintage Nasa patch.
