Danner boots made in Oregon

Need a good pair of boots? I would definitely take a look at the Danner boots website.

The Danner Shoe Company was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin with five employees beginning the manufacture of handcrafted work boots. In 1936 Charles Danner moved his family and the Danner business out to Portland, Oregon.

This long-established brand is known for offering protective and utilitarian boots suitable for any outdoor activities: from hunting to hiking.

“Quality, craftsmanship… utilitarian,” are part of the company’s heritage. Most of the production is, in fact, carefully made in factories outside Portland.

These boots are more than work boots, though. They are so versatile, cool and comfortable that can be easily worn also in your every day life.

My favorite boot is the Mountain Light Cascade, a tribute to one of Danner’s iconic hiking styles introduced in the early 1970’s. Handmade in Portland, these boots are made of water-proof leather with Vibram rubber outsoles.

Reese Witherspoon wears them in “Wild” on her 1,000 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. I have not planned to walk so much, but these boots are, for me, definitely a must-buy this winter.
