After university, I lived in San Francisco for a few years.
I am still so in love with this city that I have its skyline tattooed on my arm.
Anyway, while I was studying, I worked for a short period of time in a small and cozy denim store, located in the Italian neighborhood of San Francisco, North Beach. The name of the store is AB Fit (literally “any butt fits”). For any of you who are interested, they are looking for an intern! I would definitely apply, if I was younger!
AB Fit is considered one of the best spots in town to buy jeans.
One of the owners of the shop is Howard Gee. He thought me so many things about denim and sales techniques. Always roll up the bottom of a denim pant before a customer tries it on. It looks much cooler on!
They have an amazing selection of denim: Chimala, Rising Sun, Big John, Blue Blanket among the others. All premium denim brands.
One brand caught my attention, while browsing AB fit web site: Micheal Masterson.
Check out this beautiful women’s 6.5 oz. chambray shirt created for the store’s 25th Anniversary.
Beautifully sewn on antiquated machines dating back to the early 19th century, this shirt is made from 1950’s Cone deadstock fabric, while the buttons are 1930’s handmade mother of pearl.
Micheal Masterson is a designer and manufacturer of denim shirts. He is a true craftsman. Each shirt is created by hand, one at a time, by Michael himself using only the finest available materials and sewn using antique sewing machines.

So folks…if you are going to San Francisco any time soon, do not miss to visit AB Fit and please try on one of these amazing shirts!
